印畫冊書刊勒口也飄口的功能與設計

勒口也稱折口,是護封、書籍封面和封底在切口處延長出的向內折疊的部分,也有向外翻的勒口。與封面連在一起的稱前勒口,同封底連在一起的稱後勒口。“勒”字有約束之意,通過“勒口”這一形式,既可以防止切口劃傷手指也可以防止封面、封底捲曲,能夠保護書芯。還可以利用它編排作者或譯者的簡介、照片、叢書的目錄等信息,同時還能增加書的美感,起到增強裝飾的作用。設計上同樣必須註重與封面之間的協調,在呼應關系前提下進行補充延續設計。

 

飄口是在前封和後封的上切口、下切口及外切口處均大出書芯3mm左右的部分。一般以精裝書為主,平裝書中也常出現這種設計以保護書芯並能增加書籍外形的美感。其設計樣式不會做個別處理,只是將前後封面延長即可。
