覆膜是預印紙箱面紙、紙盒、手提袋、封面等產品常用的整飾加工工藝。印刷產品通過覆膜後,可以具備防水、防污、防掉色和耐熱、耐光、耐摩擦等性能,同時,產的光澤度、美感度、耐戳穿強度和抗張強度等得到了增強,提高產品的使用壽命和包裝質量。

覆膜工藝（過膠工藝）

覆膜是預印紙箱面紙、紙盒、手提袋、封面等產品常用的整飾加工工藝。印刷產品通過覆膜後,可以具備防水、防污、防掉色和耐熱、耐光、耐摩擦等性能,同時,產的光澤度、美感度、耐戳穿強度和抗張強度等得到了增強,提高產品的使用壽命和包裝質量。

覆膜工藝（過膠工藝）

覆膜的大致工藝是:
在產品完成印刷之後,用覆膜機將塑料薄膜與印刷品錶面復合成整體結構,形成紙、塑合一的印刷品。覆膜工藝有即塗覆膜和預塗覆膜之分也有熱覆和冷覆的工藝區別。

覆膜的黏合劑也有不同種類,有水性覆膜膠,也有溶劑覆膜膠。

溶劑覆膜膠亮度高,但是存在環境污染問題;而水性覆膜膠的溶劑是水,對產品和環境幾乎沒有污染,所以,廣泛用於食品包裝物錶面的整飾加工。

由於覆膜產品回收時需要分類進行加工處理,再生工藝比較復雜,生產成本高,一些包裝產品正被壓光或UV上光工藝所替代。
