吸墨性,也叫吃墨量。紙張的吸墨性指的是,紙張對於油墨中連結料的吸收程度。紙張的吸墨性又是纖維的錶面性質、纖維之間的交織狀況、填料和膠料的性質和含量等因素的總反應,它的本質是纖維本身和纖維間的微小空隙,對油墨中連結料的毛細吸附作用。

吸墨性,也叫吃墨量。紙張的吸墨性指的是,紙張對於油墨中連結料的吸收程度。紙張的吸墨性又是纖維的錶面性質、纖維之間的交織狀況、填料和膠料的性質和含量等因素的總反應,它的本質是纖維本身和纖維間的微小空隙,對油墨中連結料的毛細吸附作用。

紙張對油墨的吸收量越多,則紙張的吸墨性就越強,反之則差。膠印用的紙張,一般來講其吸墨性不能太強,特別是在印刷銅版紙時,對於吸墨性更有嚴格的限制。紙張的吸墨性強弱與下列因素有關。

①與纖維錶面的光滑程度有關:當紙質相同時,纖維錶面越光滑,吸墨性就越弱


②與填料的質量有關:如選用白土作填料的紙張的吸墨性就強,其他填料次之。


③與膠料的施加量有關:適當地施加膠料也可以增強紙張的吸墨性。

紙張吸墨性過強或過弱所產生的影響有:


①紙張的吸墨性過強,則油墨中的連結料將被紙張大量吸收,雖能加速印跡的乾燥,但容易造成印跡不牢、“起粉”、“透印”和光澤暗淡等不良後果;


②紙張的吸墨性過弱,則油墨中的連結料不能得到正常的吸收,致使印跡不能適時乾燥,結果造成了印品的背污紙張的吸墨性與印品的質量關系較大,根據紙張的吸墨性能來調整所用油墨的性質,以及控制燥油的加放量,是每個膠印機操作者的職責。
