激光掃描器再按照第二層切片的平面幾何信息對液面掃描，使新一層液態樹脂固化並緊緊粘在前一層已固化的樹脂上，如此重復進行直至整個三維零件製作完成。

                SLA立體印刷工作原理

容器中，盛有在紫外光照射下可固化的液態以樹脂，如環氧樹脂、乙烯酸樹脂或丙烯酸樹脂，不同樹脂的機械特性不同。

立體印刷開始時，升降台通常下降到距液面不到1mm（相當於CAD模型最下一層切片的厚度）處，隨後X-Y激光掃描器根據第一層（即最下一層）切片的平面幾何信息對液面掃描，

液面這一層被激光照射到的那部分液態樹脂由於光聚合作用而固化在升降臺上。接著升降裝置又帶動升降台使其下降相當於第二層切片厚度的高度，

X-Y激光掃描器再按照第二層切片的平面幾何信息對液面掃描，使新一層液態樹脂固化並緊緊粘在前一層已固化的樹脂上，如此重復進行直至整個三維零件製作完成。

如今，將激光聚焦到液態固化材料（如光固化樹脂）錶面，令其有規律地固化，由點到線，，完成一個層面的建造；而後升降平臺，移動一個層片厚度的距離，

重新覆蓋一層液態材料，再建造一個層面，由此層層疊加，成為一個三維實件。
