與膠印的無線膠訂加工一樣,數碼印刷品的無線膠黏訂也要考慮裝訂的裁切量。除了在書背要留出1/8英寸的銑背餘量外,在書籍其他三邊也要留出1/8英寸的裁切量。此外,在書籍封面下部還應留出1/4英寸的塗膠區以防止膠液在裝訂中滲到下本書上。無線膠訂加工還要求印刷出血封面時應比正文尺寸大點。無線膠訂精裝加工也是數碼印刷裝訂方式中一種重要的印後加工方式。精裝工藝的關鍵是如何將書芯與硬書殼牢固黏合,生產出可以長期保存的書籍。
