印刷圖文的面積、形狀、位置及顏色對瓦楞紙箱的抗壓強度也有不同程度的影響,因此在設計瓦楞紙箱的印刷版面時,不要過分追求瓦楞紙箱的印刷效果,而應特別註意印刷過程對瓦楞紙箱抗壓強度的影響,盡量設計成單色,最多不超過三色,對於需要套印的瓦楞紙箱,應嚴格控製版面位置和尺寸,版面佈局要合理,字體大小要適中,印刷部位要適當等,以提高套印精度。

除此之外,瓦楞紙箱的印刷版面設計還應符合相關標準的規定,如應用在瓦楞紙箱印刷版面中的儲運標志須按照GB191-85《包裝儲運圖示標志》的規定執行;危險品標志須按照GB190-85《危險貨物包裝標志》的規定執行;GB6388-86《運輸包裝收發貨標志》還對百貨、文化用品等12種產品的相應圖形標志做出了規定。
