畫冊印刷的裝訂中的銑背


在銑背時要由擠壓輪將書芯訂口邊連同夾書器夾板同時壓緊,這樣書本脊背在銑削過程中就不會發生變形和移動無線膠訂有兩種銑背方式:粉碎式銑背和撕碎式銑背,這兩種銑背所使用的銑背刀不同。

粉碎式銑背使用的銑刀經過特殊設計,銑刀楔角比較大,有56°,當刀刃進入書帖紙張時,紙張易產生斷裂,切削的結果成紙屑狀(碎紙)脫落,此刀不怕沖擊,可適用於硬、韌的紙張及較厚的本冊撕碎式銑背使用的銑刀楔角比較小,只有30°,易於切削,能分離紙張,當刀刃進入書帖紙張時,切削的結果成條狀(紙條)脫落,但遇見稍硬、又韌的紙張容易崩刃,適合軟紙及較薄書本,磨刀方便,廢料的處理時產生的灰塵少。
