16開究竟有多大

184mm×260mm?

雖然它們都叫16開,但是它們的面積卻相差30%,這是為什麽?


開數是指把全張紙對折、再對折後進行裁切。裁切成多少小張,就稱作多少開。如全張紙裁切成16小張,每一小張就叫做16開;裁切成32小每一小張就叫做32開

把全開紙張對折的方法叫做幾何開法,每種開本均為上一級大小的一半。其能充分利用紙張的大小,對紙張的使最經濟合理。

另一種方法叫直線開法,依紙張的橫向與縱向直線裁切雖然不浪費紙張,但是其開出的頁數單雙都有,不利於印刷與裝訂。

第三種方法是混合裁切法。其不沿橫豎線裁切,紙張橫豎都有,但是可以開出與眾不同的成品尺寸。
