​是指印刷品在經過印刷機上機作業完畢後,根據印刷品不同的用途和要求進行再處理和加工對於整個印刷品而印刷是一個系統工程,主要劃分為印前、印刷和印後加工三大工序,印前、印刷需與完善的印後加工工藝相配套,才能生產出高質量的印刷成品。

是指印刷品在經過印刷機上機作業完畢後,根據印刷品不同的用途和要求進行再處理和加工對於整個印刷品而印刷是一個系統工程,主要劃分為印前、印刷和印後加工三大工序,印前、印刷需與完善的印後加工工藝相配套,才能生產出高質量的印刷成品。

而設計師在設計的過程中也要掌握印後加工的相關和瞭解不同的加工工藝的效果,才能準確地聯系設計成品的預期效果來進行設計按加工的目的,印品的印後加工可分為三大類


一是使印品獲取特定功能的加工。
印品是供人們使用的,不同印品因其服務對象或使用目的不同,應具備或加強某方面的功能,如使印品有防潮、耐磨、防蝕等保護功能,有些印品則應具備某種特定功能,如單據、表格等可復寫等。

二是對印刷品錶面進行的美化裝飾加工。如為提高印品光澤度而進行的上光或覆膜加工、為提高印品立體感的凹凸壓印加工等。

三是印品的成型加工,如將單頁印刷品裁切到設計規定的幅面尺寸、書刊本冊的裝訂、包裝製品的模切壓痕加工等
