不管是亞硫酸鹽漿還是機械漿、化學機械漿,用於抄制紙時,留在紙漿中的顏色都太深,磨木漿和亞硫酸鹽漿雖可直接用於抄造新聞紙,但新聞紙的光澤和白度並不太高,而且由於木素的存在,新聞紙的白度不穩定且易返黃,所以必須對製成的漿料進行漂白。

不管是亞硫酸鹽漿還是機械漿、化學機械漿,用於抄制紙時,留在紙漿中的顏色都太深,磨木漿和亞硫酸鹽漿雖可直接用於抄造新聞紙,但新聞紙的光澤和白度並不太高,而且由於木素的存在,新聞紙的白度不穩定且易返黃,所以必須對製成的漿料進行漂白。

紙漿的漂白劑常用的有次氯酸鈉和次氯酸鈣。

印刷紙張製造的第二部：紙漿漂白

在鹼性條件下,用次氯酸鹽處理紙漿,次氯酸根中的氧對木素起親電取代作用和氧化作用,使木素分子裂解而溶出,同時也氧化色素,使紙漿顯白。

除次氯酸鹽外,常用的漂白劑還有二氧化氯、氯氣和過氧化氫等。
