印刷廠根據傳紙與印版滾筒直徑的比例關系,傳紙滾筒的直徑有等徑、兩倍徑、三倍徑等幾種。三滾筒傳遞的第一個第三個傳紙滾筒屬於等徑,而中間的傳紙滾筒為兩倍徑型,這類機器的操作空間比較大,傳紙時間比較長,但印張從上一個機組傳到下一個機組要經過四次交接,如果是四色印刷機,則要進行十二次交接,由於交接次數多,有關機件的材料、加工精度、調節要求均比較高,否則容易引起套印不準。採用一個傳紙滾筒的交接次數少,兩個機組之間的交接次數要比三滾筒傳紙減少二分之一,即四色印刷需要六次交接。根據傳紙滾筒的直徑大小,相應配製幾副叼牙,所以具有兩倍徑、三倍徑壓印滾筒相應的特點。但它的缺點是傳紙時間系數比三滾筒的傳紙時間系數略低。
