印刷廠的膠印機的橡皮滾筒是由軸頸、滾枕和滾筒體構成,滾筒體是三個滾筒中最小的,橡皮滾筒體下凹量一般是2~3.5mm(為了安裝橡皮布與襯墊),在滾筒空擋部分裝有橡皮布的裝夾和張緊機構,橡皮滾筒的作用是將橡皮布(含襯墊)張緊固定在滾筒體錶面,印刷時橡皮滾筒先與印版滾筒接觸,印版上的圖文(墨跡)傳給橡皮布,然後再轉印到壓印滾筒上的紙張上。
