​因為現代的印刷包裝廠膠印機基本上都是配置連續式輸紙裝置,紙張輸送時是重疊送,因此雙張檢測器的工作原則是只允許兩張重疊輸送的印刷用紙通過,即“過二不過三”的原則。若出現雙張,即三張或三張以上的紙張通過,雙張檢測器就發出指令使膠印機做出如下動作

(1)輸紙機停止工作。

(2)印刷部分的滾筒離壓。

(3)傳墨輥不與墨鬥輥接觸,停止傳墨。

(4)出水輥停止轉動。

(5)前規不讓紙。(6)遞紙裝置到達輸紙台前沿,叼紙牙不叼紙。

(7)計數器停止計數。

(8)機器轉速降至最低運轉速度。
