在特殊的轉印紙或轉印薄膜上印刷圖文信息，畫冊印刷廠然後再將印刷完成的紙膜類材料轉印到承印物上，多用於陶瓷貼花印刷、紡織品印刷、商品標簽印刷等。

轉移印刷的種類很多，我們在這里介紹兩種分類方式。

按轉移方式分類有直接移印和間接移印兩種：

直接移印：在專用的移印機上利用移印頭將凹版面上的油墨吸走，然後再轉印到承印物上的工藝，多用於錶面呈現出不規則的凹凸狀容器、小件裝飾品、玩具和餐具等間接移印：

間接移印：是先在特殊的轉印紙或轉印薄膜上印刷圖文信息，畫冊印刷廠然後再將印刷完成的紙膜類材料轉印到承印物上，多用於陶瓷貼花印刷、紡織品印刷、商品標簽印刷等。

按轉印條件分類可分為乾轉印、濕轉印、熱轉印和壓力轉印幾種：

乾轉印：載體一般採用塑料薄膜，先在薄膜上預塗脫離層，之後在塗層上印刷圖文再用不乾膠作印墨印刷一層背膠。轉移印刷時粘貼在承印物上，載體膜即可揭除。

濕轉印：圖文承印物一般採用紙或薄膜，預先塗水溶性的脫離層，印刷圖文後印背膠，背膠屬水溶性膠。轉印時用水濕潤後貼敷在承印物上，載體即可揭除。

熱轉印：以施加一定熱量，作為轉移條件，將印刷在中間載體上的圖像或文字轉移到諸如紡織品、塑料和木材等物體的錶面上。主要有升華熱轉移印刷、脫墨熱轉移印刷、植線熱轉移印刷、熱轉移打印等
