平滑度是評價紙張錶面凹凸的程度。平滑度與油墨的轉移性關系密切。膠印用的是彈性很好的橡皮布,在一定程度上彌補紙面的凹凸,油墨能夠較好地轉移到紙張上,但印刷高檔印刷品時,為了不使圖文層次受影響,常採用平滑度很高的銅版紙。平滑度高的紙張印刷出來的墨色飽和度高、光澤性好、圖像的清晰度高、印品質量較好。

平滑度是評價紙張錶面凹凸的程度。平滑度與油墨的轉移性關系密切。膠印用的是彈性很好的橡皮布,在一定程度上彌補紙面的凹凸,油墨能夠較好地轉移到紙張上,但印刷高檔印刷品時,為了不使圖文層次受影響,常採用平滑度很高的銅版紙。平滑度高的紙張印刷出來的墨色飽和度高、光澤性好、圖像的清晰度高、印品質量較好。

至於膠版紙,不同廠家生產的膠版紙平滑度相差較大。有的膠版紙平滑度不好,而且厚度不均勻,當採用硬包襯做襯墊時油墨轉移不充分,造成印跡深淺不一,形成難看的花斑,嚴重時甚至出現露白現象。由於在印刷膠版紙時很容易出現小點子的花斑在印刷中應註意常抽查印張,對經常出現的小點子花斑或印跡深淺不一,墨色不均勻的印品,應適當增大印刷壓力,增加油墨的流動度,但要註意控制墨量,以免造成糊版現象。
