​瓦楞紙或紙板是由瓦楞過層壓處理板叫做“單面”;雙邊或雙面的紙板中間夾著一層波浪狀紙,因此而叫做“單只有一面的壁”。蕊紙(波浪狀的紙)一般都使用於包裝易碎產品與物件,同時也用來支撐產品內部結構。

瓦楞紙或紙板是由瓦楞過層壓處理板叫做“單面”;雙邊或雙面的紙板中間夾著一層波浪狀紙,因此而叫做“單只有一面的壁”。蕊紙(波浪狀的紙)一般都使用於包裝易碎產品與物件,同時也用來支撐產品內部結構。

而像是單面、雙面或三面壁的瓦楞紙板幾乎都使用於紙盒與容的運輸。單面瓦楞紙板通常都使用於高級包裝設計,主要是將其瓦楞的特殊質感表現於外。

印刷完的紙板與瓦楞紙板經層壓過後,則成為重型產品的主要包裝材料,如器具、廚房用品居家用品(熨鬥、烤麵包機、餐盤、玻璃製品等)與電子產品等(電腦、相機等)。
